Cops: NY Woman Stabbed Beau Over Facebook 'Friend'
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) -- Police say a woman in upstate New York became enraged and stabbed her boyfriend after learning that he had "friended" another woman on Facebook.
Rochester city police Lt. Scott Peters says that Anthony Monachino was stabbed in the back about 5:30 a.m. Saturday.
The 29-year-old was taken to Rochester General Hospital for treatment.
Peters told the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle that Monachino's injuries are not considered life-threatening.
Monachino's 28-year-old girlfriend is being held on charges of second-degree assault at Monroe County Jail. It was not clear late Saturday whether the suspect had an attorney or when she might be arraigned.
