Police: Man Broke Into Great Neck Teen's Bedroom
GREAT NECK, N.Y. (AP/1010 WINS/CBS 2) -- Police on Long Island say a man broke into the bedroom of a sleeping 15-year-old girl and placed a wet cloth over her face.
Nassau County police say the teen struggled free and the suspect fled from the Great Neck home on West Shore Rd. CBS 2's Jennifer McLogan reported that after the teen screamed for her parents, the family gave chase. However, the suspect was able to get away through the woods.

"She woke up and discovered there was a wet rag being placed over her face and she had a male sitting on top of her," Detective Lieutenant Kevin Smith said at a news conference Monday.
Police say the owners of the house did not report anything missing.
The teen's mother, who was upstairs at the time, indicated that the family was too traumatized to talk.
"My daughter don't want to speak about this," the woman told 1010 WINS' Mona Rivera.
The invasion took place not far from Great Neck North High School, where McLogan spoke with some unnerved parents.
"As a mother and a parent, that frightens me. I definitely am glad that they're putting it out so that people are more aware," Linda Klein said.
Police said they have recovered a navy baseball cap and a rag at the scene that they think the suspect may have left behind.
