Cops: L.I. Man Charged With Three Burglaries During Sandy-Related Power Outage
WEST BABYLON, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A Long Island man is charged with burglarizing a home and two businesses which were all without power due to Superstorm Sandy, police said.
Antron McCloud, 21, is accused of breaking into a home on North 20th Street, gas station and drug store in Wyandanch, police said.
He was arrested Monday.
McCloud has also been charged with burglarizing a liquor store in Copiague, a grocery store in Wyandanch, a shop in North Babylon and a deli in Farmingdale, before the storm, police said.
McCloud faces several counts of burglary and is to be arraigned Wednesday at First District Court in Central Islip.
The investigation is continuing.
