NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- A Long Island man was arrested and charged in an alleged drunken driving incident Saturday morning.

Upon further investigation officers determined that Garcia was under the influence and had been driving without a license, according to Suffolk County Police.
The Bay Shore resident is also accused of violating a license restriction that barred him from operating vehicles that had not been equipped with an ignition interlock device.
As WCBS 880's Sophia Hall reported, the ignition interlock device was required because of Garcia's past DWI convictions.
Suffolk County Police spokesman Ryan Greene said an ignition device stops a drunk person from starting the vehicle.
Garcia was charged with felony DWI, felony aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and operating a vehicle without an ignition interlock device.
He was being held at the Third Precinct and was expected to be arraigned on Saturday.
