Cops: 2 Women Sexually Assaulted At Off-Campus UConn Party
STORRS, Conn. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- State police are investigating reports that two women were sexually assaulted at an off-campus party near the University of Connecticut.
The women told police they were at a house party off Hunting Lodge Road on Friday night when two men took them into the woods and sexually assaulted them.
One of the women says she was raped by one of the men, and the other says the second man attempted to force her into non-consensual sexual contact. No arrests have been made.
Both victims were taken Windham Memorial Hospital in Willimantic, state police told the Hartford Courant. The women said they did not know their attackers, the newspaper reported.
Troopers say there were numerous people at the house party who appeared to be college students and appeared to be intoxicated. Authorities say many people at the party ran away when state police showed up.
State police say they've interviewed many people and are following leads.
