Venomous Copperhead Snake Spotted In Yard In Upper Nyack

CLARKSTOWN, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) - Talk about an unwelcome guest.

A venomous copperhead snake was found in a homeowners' yard, Clarkstown Police said Tuesday.

"Please stay away from these snakes as they can kill a human," Clarkstown Police said in a Facebook post.

Only a N.Y. Department of Enviromental Conservation licensed snake responder should remove the snake if it doesn't go away on its own, police said.
