Connecticut Author Writes Book About Mick Jagger

Well, there's a new book out about Mick Jagger and it's from a local author, as WCBS 880 Connecticut Bureau Chief Fran Schneidau reported.
The book is called "Mick: The Wild Life and Mad Genius of Jagger" and its author is Connecticut's Christopher Andersen.
Anderson began interviews for his book on Jagger not long after the Stones became the rage.
He said that, over the years, he spoke to hundreds of people who worked with or were intimately connected with Jagger.
Anderson said that it's highly unlikely that Jagger himself will pen his own life story.
"Mick has vowed that he will never write his own memoir," Anderson told Schneidau. "As a matter of fact, he actually had to give a $5 million advance back to a British publisher because he said he could not remember the details of his life. Well, I'm here to fill that void."
The book details, among other things, Jagger's affair with singer David Bowie.
Andersen said that when Jagger glammed it up on stage, it was a tribute to Bowie with a lot of Marilyn Monroe thrown in for extra umph.
"He was fixated on Marilyn. You know, the swivel hips, the pouty lips, the playful head toss. All those very flamboyant feminine gestures shocked audiences that," Anderson said. "But he said it was Marilyn he was channeling."
Mick, he said, was a marvel at morphing.
