Conn. Cyclists Arriving In Washington To Push Gun Reform
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - 26 cyclists from Connecticut will wrap up a four-day ride to Washington today as they push for tougher gun laws.
After yet another sleepness night thinking what happened at Sandy Hook Elementary School, which his 11-year-old attended, Monte Frank had an epiphany - the idea for a a 400-mile bicycle ride to Washington to press Congress to enact laws that will reduce gun violence.
"I think it's the most important thing I've ever done in my life," he told WCBS 880 reporter Peter Haskell.

Through this four-day ride, Frank said he's seeing the real America.
"Throughout the states and cities and towns we've been through, there's a groundswelling for change," he said. "When we're rolling along and a guy in a pickup truck rolls down his window and says 'Thanks for what you're doing,' it's really inspiring."
He said people want common sense gun laws.
"We have to fix this problem. It's time to get it done," he said.
He said the ride has been both emotional and inspirational.
