Chunks Of Concrete Fall From Overpass Near LIRR Station In Valley Stream
VALLEY STREAM, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) - Trouble at an LIRR train station because of crumbling concrete.
Pieces of the concrete were found piled up Friday on the sidewalk near a parking lot in Valley Stream.
MTA police responded to the call and say the debris fell from an overpass around 3:30 p.m.
Luckily, no one was injured and no cars were damaged.
LIRR crews checked out the damage and say the overpass and parking lot are safe. Authorities did not say what caused the collapse.
