Cold, Dry Air Keeps Tri-State In The 30s
NEW YORK (CBS 2) – The tri-state area won't see any snow just yet, unlike the upstate, but it will still be a cold Sunday.
Temperatures started below freezing just around 6:15 a.m., but later in the day, temps are expected to reach a high of 36 degrees.
Wind between 10 to 20 mph could bring the dry, cold air down to the teens as a flow from the northwest continues to keep the city around freezing.
Possible flurries could fall in Delaware County of New York, but all is quiet in the tri-state area.
Here are some highs for Sunday:
Central Park: 36
Roslyn: 37
Quogue: 38
Westport, Conn.: 36
Newark: 37
Sunday night will be colder with lows in the teens to the mid 20s. That cold will continue all week with overnight lows below freezing and highs just above freezing.
