Clinton, Trump Attack Each Other's Foreign Policy Proposals
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Foreign policy was the number one topic on both sides of the presidential campaign for the third straight day Friday.
As CBS2's Dick Brennan reported, the campaigns for Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Donald Trump both argued that if the other wins the White House, it will leave the nation in grave danger.
Hillary Clinton was in New York Friday, meeting a group of national security experts.
More than 50 Republican national security experts said Trump will make America less safe. Among them were former Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff and Richard Fontaine - a former foreign policy advisor to U.S. Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.)
Both attended the meeting with Clinton.
Donald Trump in the meantime said Clinton is too eager to go to war.
"Her tenure has brought us only war and destruction and death," Trump said. "She's just too quick to intervene, invade, or to push for regime change."

Meanwhile, North Korea announced it has conducted another nuclear weapon test, and now it's a campaign issue. The Clinton campaign said she plans to use sanctions to further isolate North Korea, and she will seek help from China.
"They don't want instability on their border, and this is a wake-up call for them, and we have to demand that they use their influence," said vice presidential nominee Tim Kaine.
Trump's campaign issued a statement saying North Korea's nuclear program grew stronger while Clinton was Secretary of State. But Trump has not said how he himself would stop the North Korean nuclear program.
"He's going to make sure they never use it," said Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway.
When asked how, Conway added: "He's not going to reveal all his plans now – he's made that very clear. And maybe someone can ask him in a debate."
Plans for dealing with Russia may also move front and center in the election.
Just Friday afternoon, Moscow said it is thinking of ending talks with the U.S. on stopping ISIS in Syria.
