Christie: Tax Relief On The Way
TRENTON, N.J. (CBS 2) -- New Jersey Governor Chris Christie was promising tax relief for Garden State residents, and soon.
Christie said he will reduce the state's income tax within two years to help boost the economy.
New Jersey's top tax rate is 8.97-percent, which is the same as New York but nearly three times as high as its other border state, Pennsylvania.
Christie said the high tax rate makes it difficult for the state to compete.
