One female employee, who locked herself a back room of the store, can be heard breathing heavily as she begs a police dispatcher to send help.
"Please hurry up," the woman said. "I don't want to die, please."
Other employees give the dispatcher eyewitness accounts of a fellow employee entering with a shotgun and firing.
"In Old Bridge Pathmark, a guy with a shotgun is blowing the place apart," one man said. "We all ran out of the store."

Eighteen-year-old Cristina LoBrutto and 24-year-old Bryan Breen were killed when their co-worker, 23-year-old Terence Tyler, walked into the store armed with an AK-47 and an automatic pistol and opened fire, prosecutors said.
LoBrutto and Breen happened to be in the front aisle when the gunman started shooting. Ten other employees managed to escape before Tyler, an ex-Marine, turned the gun on himself, prosecutors said.
LoBrutto and Breen each died of a single gunshot as they worked the overnight shift.
Officials do not believe the victims were specifically targeted. It's still not clear what sparked the shootings.
