6-Year-Old In Critical Condition After Being Found Unconscious In Bay Shore Pool
BAY SHORE, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A 6-year-old child is in critical condition after Suffolk County police say the boy was found unconscious in a pool behind a home in Bay Shore.
Officers responded to the home on Krause Street around 12:15 p.m. after a 911 caller reported a boy being found unconscious in an in-ground pool.
The child, of Milton, Canada, was pulled out of the pool by Officer Michael Scaturro and given CPR.
The boy was transported to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore and later transferred to Cohen's Children's Medical Center in New Hyde Park in critical condition.
He was reportedly visiting relatives at the home, police say.
The investigation is continuing.
