'Chazz From The Bronx' Calls Into WFAN To Talk Some Giants, Yankees
NEW YORK (WFAN) -- You just never know who's going to call into WFAN to talk a little sports.
Sid Rosenberg was on the air on Tuesday afternoon, and who called into his program? None other than Bronx-born actor Chazz Palminteri.
The actor, best known for his roles in The Usual Suspects, A Bronx Tale, Analyze This and Bullets Over Broadway, had just been on Arthur Avenue doing some Christmas shopping when he gave the WFAN host a ring.

The actor, screenwriter and film producer didn't want to talk about show business. Rather, he just wanted to talk some New York sports.
"I'm hearing this stuff about (Giants quarterback) Eli (Manning)," the 61-year-old said. "All these announcers, come on guys. You say Super Bowl doesn't mean nothing? ... But I gotta say, I really think Eli is great. I'm sorry. I really, I do. I just think he has some bad teams around him ... I always think the quarterback gets too much credit, too much blame."
After talking some G-Men, the Academy Award-nominated actor turned the page to his beloved Yankees.
"I like the (Jacoby) Ellsbury deal a lot," Palminteri said. "The problem that I'm just a little concerned by ... I want some pitching! We need pitching, we need pitching! We've gotta get some more pitching. We won 85 games and our pitching wasn't that great. We really need pitching. I am concerned by that. But I know the Yankees.
"I know (general manager) Brian Cashman and those guys, and I think they're going to pull a rabbit out of the hat. We're gonna get a pitcher before the season starts."
Palminteri has been calling into WFAN for years. He spoke with WFAN host Mike Francesa in June following the death of Sopranos star James Gandolfini.
