Central Islip Man Charged With Murder After Cops Find Body In Closet
CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) - A 33-year-old man has been arrested and charged with murder after police discovered the body of another man stuffed in a closet.
The body was discovered at 4:50 p.m. Christmas Eve at the home on Ferndale Boulevard.
Aston Barth, who lived in the home, is charged with murder.
Barth has prior record on robbery charges. He spent three years behind bars starting in 2001. In 2007, Barth was arrested for robbery after allegedly sticking up a Citibank in Central Islip while dressed as a woman. Barth was reportedly wearing a brown skirt suit, blond wig, sandals and makeup, but didn't shave his moustache.
Barth was paroled in 2011.
