Cash Only Option For Metro North Riders
MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. (WCBS 880) – A glitch in the Metro North ticket system is making the only option cash for buying a ticket.
Commuters cannot buy with a credit or debit card—both options do not even appear on the screen at any Metro North station except for Grand Central.

Now Aldo may have to risk getting arrested just to get to Sloan-Kettering.
"I'm on my way to Sloan Kettering for disconnecting my chemotherapy. I have to go. I'm going to go on the train. If they want to arrest me, they can arrest me, but I don't have cash on me. So unless I can pay with card, there isn't much I can do," he said.
Commuters now must be sure to bring cash with them as it's the only option for now.
"Frustrating I'm going to take the train and I'm not going to pay and whatever they want to do they can do it because this is ridiculous," Aldo said.
Metro-North spokesman Salvatore Arena said efforts to repair the problem were expected to continue through the weekend.
