Carmelo Anthony To Appear Alongside Edie Falco In Showtime's 'Nurse Jackie'
NEW YORK (WFAN) - Carmelo Anthony, the basketball player. Carmelo Anthony, the superstar. Carmelo Anthony, the scorer.
Carmelo Anthony, the actor?
Yep, you heard that right.
The Knicks' forward will make a guest appearance on Showtime's dark comedy "Nurse Jackie" at 9 p.m. on Sunday. The five-time All Star will play a patient partaking in a group therapy session, acting as a fallen basketball star.
'Melo and Carmela Soprano ("Nurse Jackie" star Edie Falco's character in the iconic HBO drama "The Sopranos") together on screen? Seems like an unlikely match, but definitely one worth checking out.
Prior to the broadcast, fans will have the opportunity to watch Anthony and the Knicks take on the star-studded Heat in a critical matchup at Madison Square Garden.
The controversial superstar has been tremendous in leading the Knicks over the last two weeks, and is averaging 21.9 points and 6.1 rebounds on the season.
