NEWARK, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- A bus driver has been charged with striking and killing a pedestrian in a hit-and-run at Newark Liberty International Airport last fall.
Fidel Ortez, 47, of West New York, N.J., was charged Monday with second-degree leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death, and third-degree endangering an injured victim, Essex County, N.J., prosecutors announced.
Ortez allegedly struck Jeffrey Ziesler, 61, of Howell, N.J., around 4 a.m. Nov. 12. He also allegedly failed to stop and help Ziesler afterward.
