Brush Fire Causes Delays On Metro-North Hudson Line During Evening Rush
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Service on the Hudson Line of the Metro-North Railroad was delayed by up to 40 minutes during the Wednesday evening rush due to a brush fire.
The fire was burning along the tracks in the Riverdale section of the Bronx.
The Metropolitan Transportation Authority estimated that service would be delayed by a period of 10 to 40 minutes. Earlier, service was halted.
The line runs north along the Hudson River to Poughkeepsie.
Service was back to normal by the nighttime hours.
