Water Main Break Sends Water Shooting 30 Feet High In Brooklyn
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A water main break shot a stunning geyser high into the air Friday afternoon in Brooklyn.
The water main burst underneath Pennsylvania Avenue near Flatlands Avenue in East New York around 3:20 p.m. and sent water soaring as high as 30 feet into the air, CBS2 reported. The water had been turned off by 5:30 p.m.
Pennsylvania Avenue was closed to traffic in both directions, creating delays along the nearby Belt Parkway, CBS2's Joe Biermann reported.
The incident happened near the Spring Creek Towers apartment complex. It was unclear if residents there were without water.
