Brooklyn Narcotics Detectives Accuse Nine Of Drug Trafficking In Coney Island
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - A number of fatal shootings in Coney Island led to a 10-month-long narcotics investigation, and it's now resulted in the roundup of nine accused drug traffickers from two loosely connected gangs.

The defendants are charged with selling more than $7,000 worth of crack cocaine and oxycodone pills to undercover detectives, with the sales taking place directly in front of the apartment buildings and playgrounds of the Coney Island Houses, reported WCBS 880's Irene Cornell.
One of the gangs involved is made up of women only. Police said that one of its members is a registered nurse who was seen wearing her nursing uniform while selling crack on the street.
