Brooklyn Man Killed In Hit And Run On Rockaway Parkway
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A man was killed by a hit and run driver in Brooklyn early Sunday morning, according to police.
John Cook, 34, of Brooklyn was attempting to cross the Rockaway Parkway near the intersection of Rutland Road when he was hit by a blue Nissan Maxima. The car was traveling northbound on the parkway, the vehicle's operator did not remain at the scene of the accident.
Emergency teams responded to the scene of the accident and transported Cook to Brookdale hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
