Brooklyn Man, 22, Killed In Cypress Hills Hit-And-Run
NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- Shortly before 3 a.m. on Saturday, December 14, police responded to reports of a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Arlington Avenue and Hyland Place in the Cypress Hills section of Brooklyn.
Through surveillance footage officers determined that a dark blue Nissan had collided with a 22-year-old Brooklyn man operating a Shenk Moped.
EMS arrived and pronounced the moped operator Elvis Batista Francisco, 22, dead at the scene.
The operator of the Nissan did not remain at the scene. The NYPD's Highway Patrol Collision Investigation Squad has launched an investigation into the incident.
