Brooklyn Landlord Accused In Tenant's Death
NEW YORK (1010 WINS/ AP) -- Police have arrested a Brooklyn landlord in the shooting death of a 55-year-old tenant.
The NYPD says Jacqueline Wesley-Rosa, 49, was arrested Wednesday on murder and criminal possession of a weapon charges.
Police say the victim, Patricia Wilson, was found shot once in the chest earlier in the day outside the apartment building in the East New York section.
The 55-year-old woman was pronounced dead at Brookdale Hospital.
Neighbors described Wilson as the mayor of the Linwood Street block. They said she and the landlord had argued for years over rent and other issues.
1010 WINS' Al Jones reported that neighbors said Wilson was "loud" and "boisterous" and someone who went into "occasional outbursts." However, they added it was often just "Pat being Pat."
"It's just crazy. We're all going to miss her. Because she was like a part of East New York. Who didn't know Pat," one neighbor told Jones.
