Brooklyn Boy Who Went Missing In Monticello Found Sunday
MONTICELLO, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- The search for a 12-year old boy missing from a close knit Orthodox Jewish community in Brooklyn is over.
Investigators say Benyamin Simantov-Linkov of Crown Heights, Brooklyn who went missing near his family's second home in upstate Sullivan County, was found Sunday, safe and sound.
Before disappearing, he was seen leaving 30 Landfield Avenue in Monticello, New York Saturday.
Police and volunteers spent hours searching for the 5'2", 140 lbs boy.
Monticello police asked the public for help in finding him earlier in the day. Emergency response teams from Brooklyn's Jewish community, the Village of Kiryas Joel Fire Department, and state police also assisted in the search.
