Brooklyn Borough President Sends Unique Holiday Card
NEW YORK (WCBS 880) - It's a holiday card with a message.

"And it shows the extreme, the absurdity, of some of the social re-engineering of our streets," says Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz.
He has sent 7,000 of the cards to New York City's movers and shakers including Department of Transportation commissioner Janette Sadik-Khan.
Markowitz says, "I think these efforts to eliminate cars, force people out of cars - and on to bicycles - is unrealistic. That's all."
Markowitz' card includes a humorous depiction of Prospect Park West carved up into a large bike lane, a sitting lane, a lover's lane, and a tiny congested car lane.
