Police Identify Suspect In Bronx Shooting That Left Woman Dead In Crossfire
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Thursday identified a suspect in a shooting that left a woman dead in crossfire in the Bronx this week.
Orlando Oquendo, 17, is wanted in the Wednesday afternoon shooting that killed Maribel Cavero-Reyes, 45.
Oquendo is 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs 145 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair, and he was last seen wearing a black sweater with white lettering on its front, black sweatpants and multi-colored sneakers with blue shoelaces, police said.
The shooting happened around 1 p.m. on 154th Street between Elton and Melrose avenues in the Bronx, police said.
Police said two groups of men were quarreling in the middle of the street when gunshots rang out.
Cavero-Reyes was struck in the chest by a bullet, and was pronounced dead at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center, police said.
