Police: Man Wounded After Gunman Opens Fire Inside Bronx Supermarket

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are looking for a man who they said pulled out a gun and opened fire in the middle of a checkout lane at a supermarket in the Bronx, injuring another man.

It happened just before noon Monday at the C-Town supermarket on Southern Boulevard.

Police said the gunman entered the supermarket and started shooting, striking a 21-year-old man three times in the torso. He then fled south on Southern Boulevard, police said.

The victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

The incident was captured on the store's surveillance cameras.
