Police Search For Suspect Who Held Up Bronx Store At Gunpoint
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Monday were searching for a suspect in the armed robbery of a store in the Bronx.
Around 7:10 p.m. Sunday, police said the suspect pulled a gun inside Derlyn Food, at 150 W. Kingsbridge Rd. in the Kingsbridge section of the Bronx, and ordered an employee – a 54-year-old man – to the counter.
The suspect then demanded money from a 22-year-old woman who was working behind the counter, police said.
The woman complied and handed over about $500, police said. The robber ran off, police said.
The suspect was last seen wearing glasses, a black hooded sweater, a black jacket, and dark-colored pants, police said.
Police released surveillance photos of the suspect and video of the robbery.
