Two Wounded In Bronx Shooting
Authorities told 1010 WINS that they do not believe the wounds to the two male victims are life threatening. Both victims are in their 20s. One was shot in the leg, while the other was shot in the face.
The shooting took place outside of the Family Dollar Store on Jackson Avenue, across the street from the Moore Houses, local residents said. They also told reporters that incidents like this are a common occurrence on weekends and often send bystanders ducking and running for their lives.
"Especially on the weekends when everyone is drinking and carrying on. This happens constantly," a resident told 1010 WINS reporter Roger Stern.
The victims were taken to Lincoln Hospital.
