Bronx Family Donates Custom Wheelchair In Memory Of Their Daughter
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - On this Valentine's Day, one family is spreading its love to a young woman in need.
The parents of a young woman from the Bronx who died of mitochondrial disease are donating her custom wheelchair to a woman from Puerto Rico.

As WCBS 880's Sean Adams reported, Michelle Mohan, 22, was wheelchair-bound and had to be fed through a tube.
"Everything that my daughter's been through she never, never looked at the down side of things. She was a trooper, a fighter," Paul Mohan told Adams.
Mohan died in the fall. She was a student at York College studying to be an art therapist.
In her memory, the Mohans are giving Michelle's customized wheelchair to a young woman from Puerto Rico who is studying to become a nurse.
"It needs to go to somebody else. It's hard, I'm not gonna lie, because we're giving away a piece of our daughter. It was such a big piece of her," Mohan told Adams. "This is something that we know she would definitely want."
A non-profit organization call Lucy's Love Bus connected them.
"Appreciate life. Don't take anything for granted. Next time you're sitting in traffic, complaining about how miserable your life is, think about other people," said Mohan. "To do something kind, to do something nice is easy."
