NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Police said Thursday that a man whose body was found stuffed inside a crate at a marina in the Bronx had been shot.
Officers were called at 12:14 p.m. Monday to the Locust Point Marina, at 140 Reynolds Ave. in the Bronx, and were informed of the decomposed body in the crate, police said.
The man whose body was found was later identified as James Michael Brannon, 60, and police said an autopsy by the New York City Medical Examiner's office revealed a bullet hole in his head.
Police said Brannon's last known address was in Bozeman, Montana.
