Police: Trio Attacked Man With Bat In Front Of Bronx Building
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Monday were searching for three suspects who attacked a man with a baseball bat in front of a building in the Fordham Heights section of the Bronx.
Around 5:40 a.m. Sunday, the 56-year-old man was in front of the building at 2155 Grand Concourse, at 181st Street, when he was attacked by three men – one with a bat, police said.
Police said the three suspects were in a van, and they jumped out and started chasing the victim.
The suspects then ran off after the attack, police said. The victim was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital, where his condition was reported as stable, police said.
Surveillance video captured the suspects attacking the men in the entry walkway for the building. The man with the bat appeared to be wearing a uniform of some kind, while the other two had the word "security" printed on the backs of their jackets.
