Broken Rail Snags Metro-North Harlem Line Trains
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Trains on the Metro-North Harlem line were delayed during the evening rush in the Bronx Monday evening, following a disruption by a broken rail.
During rush hour, trains were not stopping between the Melrose and Woodlawn stations as repairs were in progress. Trains resumed stopping at the stations at 6:49 p.m., according to the Metropolitan Transportation Authority.
By early evening hours, Harlem Line customers were still experiencing residual delays of 15 to 20 minutes. But in the nighttime hours, service was back to normal.
During the delays, the MTA advised customers to listen to announcements at their stations.
