British Airways Jet Bound For NY Makes Emergency Landing
LONDON (CBS 2) -- A British Airways jet bound for New York had to make an emergency landing shortly after takeoff Saturday.
The airline said the plane turned back toward London's Heathrow Airport as a precaution, because the handle of one of the cabin doors was moving. The door never opened.
The Boeing 747 landed safely, and all 296 passengers were moved to another plane.
British Airways is investigating the incident.
