British Airways Computer System Outage Affects U.S. Airports
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Computer outages struck British Airways check-in systems at numerous U.S. airports Tuesday evening.
The airline reported its IT teams were working to fix the problem, and some customers were experiencing delays for check-in for their flights.
Images of long lines at British Airways check-in stations in Atlanta, San Francisco and Mexico City appeared on Twitter late Monday.
This was the second major computer outage in the last few months that has impacted the U.S., CBS News reorted.
On May 29, a British Airways computer system outage caused a major travel headache at John F. Kennedy International Airport Sunday evening.
