Bridgeport, Conn., Police Still Searching For Girl Who Vanished In 2001
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (CBSNewYork) -- Those involved in a search for a little girl who vanished over 10 years ago continued this weekend to hold out hope that she will one day be found and returned home.
As WCBS 880's Sean Adams reported, Bianca Lebron, 10, was kidnapped from her school in Bridgeport, Conn., back on Nov. 7, 2001. When the Cleveland kidnapping survival story hit this week, it was close to home for Bridgeport police Detective John Burke.

"The first thing I thought of was Bianca -- A big burst of hope, not only for our department but for the family," he said. "It is possible that she's still alive."
A man with a brown and tan van approached Bianca and her friends and drove off with Bianca. She told friends she was going shopping with her "uncle."
The suspect who took Bianca was described as a Hispanic male in his 20s, standing 5 feet 8 inches to 6 feet tall with a medium build, and with light to medium brown skin, curly brown hair, and long sideburns that frame his jaw line to the chin, according to the FBI.
Over Detective Burke's death, the wall is covered with photographs and leads from the case.
He said he hopes "that someone that knows even the littlest thing about Bianca Lebron, please just come forward and let us know. You can leave an anonymous call, mail me a letter, send an e-mail, tell somebody to tell me -- whatever it is you have, I'll take it."
All calls are confidential. The reward is over $60,000.
