Breezy Point Man And Superstorm Hero Will Experience The Big Game Up-Close
NEW ORLEANS, LA(CBSNewYork) -- Many New Yorkers will be spending their Sundays chowing down on guacamole and claiming their spots on the couch for this year's Super Bowl; but one here of Superstorm Sandy will have an up close look at the action.
The NFL Experience is a place for fans to show their love for their teams, suit up like a player, and run a 40-yard dash. For one Breezy Point football fan, the NFL experience has been a well-deserved break from a tough few months.
"I told them I was going to go down and search house to house. That is the way the place is, we are neighbors, you always look out for each other," Tim Brennan told CBS 2's Teresa Garcia.
Brennan threw on his wet suit and paddle boarded into the storm to rescue his neighbors. On Saturday he arrived in New Orleans after receiving a ticket from New Orleans based photographer Robert Fogarty.
"I just want to show Tim a good time. New Orleans has had a long road, and Tim has a long road ahead," Fogarty said.
For now, Tim is happy that he can take a break to watch the game.
