Brady Passes Montana For 300-Yard Games
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has thrown for at least 300 yards for the 40th time in a regular-season game, breaking a tie with Hall of Famer Joe Montana for eighth on the NFL's list.
Brady reached the milestone midway through the fourth quarter of the Patriots' game against the New York Jets on Sunday night.
Warren Moon is seventh on the list with 49 300-yard games. Peyton Manning and Dan Marino are tied for the most with 63.
Brady also joined New Orleans' Drew Brees as the only players to throw for 3,000 yards in their team's first nine games. Brees also accomplished the feat this season.
