Ariana Bender and her friends told CBS 2 they had been camping out since 6 p.m. on Sunday.
"She actually loves and cares about her fans. She sent us Subway because we've been out here for so long. She's just amazing, very inspirational," said Bender, who's from Glasberg, N.J.
"I'm getting a sore throat and everything, but it's worth it. Only artist I would do it for," added Luis Sanchez of Elizabeth, N.J.
"I of course freaked out because I've never met Lady Gaga and I've always wanted to," said Ali Thomas-Hollands of Raleigh, N.C.
If you weren't one of the lucky ones to get into the Union Square shindig there are other ways to celebrate the release of "Born This Way" across New York City this week -- aside from just jamming to the songs on your iPod or blasting the album in your car.
