Boomer & Carton, Steve Somers To Ring Closing Bell At New York Stock Exchange
NEW YORK (WFAN) - On July 1, 1987, the radio landscape changed forever and history was made when WFAN-AM signed on in New York.
And for 25 years, the 24-hour, seven-days-a-week station has been the main source on the airwaves for sports fans in the Tri-State Area.
In honor of the 25th anniversary of the revolutionary station, WFAN has been invited to the trading floor of the New York Stock Exchange on Friday at 4:00 p.m. to ring the closing bell.
Executives and hosts from Sports Radio 66 WFAN and CBS Radio will be on hand. Some of those representing the station will be morning hosts Boomer Esiason and Craig Carton and 25-year WFAN veteran Steve Somers.
Among the CBS Radio executives on hand will be Dan Mason, President and Chief Executive Officer, CBS Radio.
