Tuesday's Open

The Mets had the night off, but Sandy Alderson was keeping busy by bolstering his bullpen. The Mets GM acquired right-handed reliever Tyler Clippard from the A's, this on the heels of bringing Kelly Johnson and Juan Uribe aboard over the weekend.

Boomer and Craig got things rolling Tuesday morning by discussing the plight of the Mets moving forward, as they currently trail the Nationals by just two games in the NL East.  Is Alderson going to make another move or two? Might Jose Reyes make a return to Flushing?

As for the Yankees, well, they are just all business these days and Monday night served as a a not-so-subtle reminder of just that.  Alex Rodriguez celebrated his 40th birthday by going deep yet again -- his 24th of the season and fourth in his last two games -- as the Bombers downed the Rangers 6-2 in Texas and have now won 12 of their last 15 games.

So we had plenty of baseball talk, a visit from a fictitious character named Bob from Lake Ronkonkoma and some fun with initials.

Talkin' it up on a Tuesday... yeah yeah!
