The Knicks organization can all let out a collective sigh of relief after Carmelo & Co. went to Atlanta last night and backed up their owner Jim Dolan's bold guarantee by leaving with a 95-91 win over the Hawks.
Phew!!!
As for the Nets, they began their three-game West Coast trip by getting thoroughly embarrassed in Sacramento by the Kings, causing one member of the Dynamic Radio Duo to question his own bold prediction that Brooklyn would win 60 games this season. With the loss, the Nets dropped to 2-5.
The Dynamic Duo member referenced above is of course none other than Craig Carton. Craigie and his radio partner Boomer Esiason got things started on the hardwood, breaking down the Knicks and Nets performances before turning the page and firing up the Hot Stove with regards to both the Yankees and the Mets and the tackling the Jets after Rex Ryan expresses interest in bringing Ed Reed into the fold, while word is Antonio Cromartie got himself a vasectomy. So there's that....
