Basketball legend Nate "Tiny" Archibald joined Boomer and Craig for a sit-down in the Allstate Studio Wednesday morning. The three of them had a spirited conversation about "Tiny's" life in the game, beginning with the story surrounding the 1970 draft, where he fell to the second round, in turn making many of those selected before him, unknowingly, targets.

The Bronx native talked passionately about the great players who have come out of New York City through the years, beginning with the legend of Earl "The Goat" Manigault.

Archibald talked about a conversation he had with Red Auerbach upon becoming a Boston Celtic, his early impressions of Larry Bird -- who he called the greatest player he ever played with -- and put together his all-time starting five players from NYC, which got Craig thinking about producing a TV show.

Nate's team, by the way: Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Billy Cunningham, Connie Hawkins, Lenny Wilkins and Bob Cousy. Tough to argue with that collection of talent, especially when you consider Nate himself would be coking off the bench.

Safe to say Boomer and Craig could have talked with "Tiny" all morning long. In fact their conversation continued through the break, finally concluding with Craig asking the Hall of Famer for his cell phone number.

With that said, I'm sure Mr. Archibald will be making a return visit to the Allstate Studio sometime soon...
