Bomb Squad Investigates Suspicious Package Near Federal Buildings In Newark
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A bomb squad and K-9 unit are checking out a suspicious package in proximity to federal buildings, including the federal courthouse, in Newark.
Due to the location, Newark police as well as the Federal Protective Service are at the scene, CBS2's Jim Smith reported.
This is all in the area of Walnut and Orchard Streets in Newark, Smith reported.
K-9 dogs could be seen walking around the area, Smith reported.
Some local streets have been shut down as the investigation continues.
