Blumenthal, McMahon To Meet In Third Conn. Debate
NEW LONDON, Conn. (AP) -- The Connecticut Senate candidates are facing off in another televised debate.
The latest matchup between Republican Linda McMahon, a former wrestling executive, and Democrat Richard Blumenthal, the state's attorney general, is scheduled for Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Garde Arts Center in New London. The hour-long debate, sponsored by The Day of New London and WTNH-TV, will air live at 7 p.m. on MyTV9.
The two candidates participated in two face-to-face debates last week. A possible fourth debate is under consideration for the closely watched race.
Both are vying to fill the seat being vacated by the retiring Sen. Chris Dodd.
Viewers have until Monday to submit debate questions on WTNH's website.
