Blumenthal Holds Lead Over McMahon In C.T.
HARTFORD, CT (AP / WCBS 880) - Democrat Richard Blumenthal continues to lead his Republican opponent, former wrestling executive Linda McMahon, by double digits in the closely watched Connecticut Senate race.
LISTEN: WCBS 880 Connecticut Bureau Chief Fran Schneidau reports
A new Quinnipiac University poll released Tuesday shows the state attorney general leading McMahon by 12 percentage points, or 54 percent to 42 percent, among likely voters.
The matchup is virtually unchanged from an Oct. 14 Quinnipiac survey, when Blumenthal held an 11 percentage point lead.
Three percent of voters say they're undecided in the race to fill the seat currently held by Democratic Sen. Chris Dodd, and 6 percent of voters say they could change their mind by Election Day.
The telephone survey of 702 likely voters has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.7 percentage points.
