"Our performances provide a unique opportunity to inspire millions to connect with and support our service members, and we are looking forward to an exciting 2014 season," said Blue Angels' commanding officer and flight leader Cmdr. Thomas Frosch.
The Blue Angels, who bill themselves as the world's oldest and most renowned flight demonstration team, suspended air shows in 2013 because of federal budget cuts.
The team is excited to return to New York.
"Jones Beach is such a phenomenal place to come flying," Lt. Cmdr. David Tickle told 1010 WINS' Mona Rivera. "When you fly over the beach you see hundreds of thousands of people out there that are coming to see our jets flying. It's such an amazing experience to be able to fly for everybody."
