Bloomberg Applauds Tax Cut Deal
NEW YORK (AP/WCBS 880/1010 WINS/CBS 2) -- New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg is applauding the tax cut plan reached by President Barack Obama and Republicans.
Bloomberg is often critical of what he calls partisan gridlock in Washington. The billionaire mayor is a Democrat-turned-Republican-turned-independent.
But he says they got it right this time. He says the agreement is a good example of working together.

The plan reduces payroll taxes for a year and extends unemployment benefits.
It also extends Bush-era tax cuts for all Americans, including the richest.
Bloomberg had supported extending those cuts. He said Tuesday he supports the other elements as well.
